We sat down with Trevor to learn more about him for this week’s Agent Spotlight!
1. When and why did you get started in real estate?
I started my career in real estate in the beginning of 2015. I had always enjoyed the passion of helping people achieve their goals and so naturally real estate seemed like a good fit. Prior to settling in the real estate field, I honed my skills of interacting professionally with people in the food and beverage industry for 20 years, primarily heading up bar programs in some the best restaurants and bars Seattle has to offer. However, the housing market has always fascinated me and I appreciated the emotional connection people have when they find their home or are leaving their home.
2. Why did you join Pointe3 Real Estate?
I have worked with the wonderful team at Pointe3 in the past in their relocation rental tour services. With the many options available for a full time broker, I felt a great connection with the staff at Pointe3. I’m a firm believer in small businesses striving for big goals and I see our team building strong connections to help each other in the most positive ways to build each other’s business.
3. What neighborhood(s) do you specialize in?
Bellevue/Issaquah/Maple Valley/Enumclaw
4. What is the most challenging/gratifying aspect of being a real estate broker?
In this market now everything is moving fast, too fast at times. I enjoy making people happy and there’s nothing worse than seeing someone’s hopes shattered by being on the losing end of a bid. I find one of my best qualities is taking these negative experiences and turning them around to positive ones. The gratifying part of this work is seeing your transaction to close. Getting to the finish line and seeing happy faces all around.
5. What do you foresee in 2016’s real estate market?
I see a lot of new movement with sellers coming in our future. Rates are incredibly low and new inventory is surely to be exposed. I suspect it’ll be a busy year for everyone.
6. Do you have any advice for someone looking to buy or sell a home in today’s competitive real estate market?
Be informed, have your lending in order and be ready to move quickly.
7. Tell us about you! Where did you grow up and where do you currently reside?
I grew up in what used to be called the small town of Issaquah; years progressed and that’s not the case now. After learning to walk out on my own, I moved to Seattle and remained there for many years. I now reside in Enumclaw where Mt Rainier is my backyard.
8. What are your passions or hobbies outside of real estate?
I enjoy a good cribbage match, fair weather and snowy winters. I have a strong love for playing music and do so with my girlfriend, she has a voice that can make you whole again. Seeing our two year old son dance and clap to us playing is an amazing new found hobby.
9. What are your favorite things to do in Seattle?
Eat amazing food at amazing places and seeing great music.
10. Why should someone choose you as their real estate broker?
I truly care about ones interests and dedicate myself 100% to them. I look to help my clients with the best answers and transparency through their home purchase or selling needs.
