1. When and why did you get started in real estate?
My family has always been in real estate with investment properties, rentals, fixers, you name it. I grew up with a real estate mindset and finally decided to obtain a broker’s license in the spring of 2012 and start my own real estate career.
2. When did you join Pointe3 Real Estate?
I joined Pointe3 in the relocation division in July of 2012.
3. Why did you join Pointe3 Real Estate?
Breaking into real estate is tough. I liked the Seattle Rental Group aspect of Pointe3 and the ability to work with clients relocating to the Seattle area as a way to break into the industry.
4. What neighborhood(s) do you specialize in?
I was born and raised in Seattle and have lived in many areas as an adult. I feel that I confidently represent clients wherever they look to purchase. I am based on the Eastside so if I had to pinpoint a true specialty it would Bellevue, Redmond, Sammamish, Issaquah, Snoqualmie, North Bend, Duvall, and communities like those.
5. What is the most challenging/gratifying aspect of being a real estate broker?
The most challenging aspect is continuing to compete in this ever changing market. It is important to stay on top of my game and to provide up to date knowledge and education when working with my clients. The most gratifying part of my job is knowing that I made someone’s housing dreams a reality and orchestrated the best possible transaction on their behalf.
6. What do you foresee in the remainder of 2017’s real estate market?
I foresee inventory remaining tight. I believe many sellers are still holding on as they fear becoming a buyer. With the influx of new residents the supply and demand models still favor sellers and property appreciation will continue to go up at a solid rate as buyers compete for homes.
7. Do you have any advice for someone looking to buy or sell a home in today’s competitive market?
Be sure and obtain as much knowledge as you can from an experienced broker. It is important to learn your options and to work with someone who takes the time to help you put the right plan in place for your specific situation. Be patient, be flexible, and above all trust the process and your team!
8. Tell us about you! Where did you grow up and where do you currently reside?
I grew up in the Seattle neighborhood of Magnolia for my entire childhood. I have lived in Snoqualmie Ridge for approximately 10 years now which has been a great place to raise my family.
9. What are your passions or hobbies outside of real estate?
I enjoy outdoor recreation such as hiking and walking. I am a big sports enthusiast and love all of our Seattle sports teams. I have 3 kids so spending quality time with my family and their activities is also an important aspect of my life.
10. What are your favorite things to do in Seattle?
I love to try new restaurants and appreciate the fine arts Seattle has to offer. Outdoor life is amazing here as well especially in the summer.
11. Why should someone choose you as their real estate broker?
I have a background in education and strive to provide as much knowledge and teaching as possible as I work with my clients. I focus on a lot of front loading about the process, strategies, areas, and so forth that way my clients are prepared when the time is right to make an offer. I really get to know my clients and believe there is more to this job than just another transaction.
