Julie Johnston started with Pointe3 Real Estate in December of 2013. She has spent the last 13 years working in various capacities of real estate service, obtaining her Brokers license in August of 2011.

After seven years of experience in the rental industry, Julie developed a passion for investment properties and finding the best homes on the market for income potential through rentals.

Her familiarity and experience with the Seattle housing and real estate markets coupled with her dedication to customer satisfaction ensures she will find you the home that you’re looking for.

We sat down with Julie to learn more about her for this week’s agent spotlight!

1. When and why did you get started in real estate?

If you count dollhouses, my interest began before I could even spell real estate!  I’ve always appreciated the beauty of a home; charming starters, spacious lofts, remote vacation homes, they all inspire me. After college, I was offered an opportunity in leasing which eventually led to property management and real estate development.

2. Why did you join Pointe3 Real Estate?

The reputation, team culture and services offered by Pointe3 have allowed me everything I need to be successful, so ultimately my clients are successful, too. It is truly a win-win for everyone.

3. What neighborhood(s) do you specialize in?

I don’t specialize in specific neighborhoods. I specialize in finding the right neighborhood for my client. There is something out there for everyone. Taking the time to know my city and my clients and bringing the two together through real estate is my specialty.

4. What is the most challenging/gratifying aspect of being a real estate broker?

Like most things in life, a challenge can easily turn into a gratifying experience.  Real estate is not always a smooth course but ultimately my buyers and sellers cross the transaction finish line and nothing feels better than that.

5. What do you foresee in 2016’s real estate market?

It is definitely going to be another strong, competitive year in real estate.

6. Do you have any advice for someone looking to buy or sell a home in today’s competitive real estate market?

Be prepared, be realistic and be willing to compromise.

7. Tell us about you! Where did you grow up and where do you currently reside?

I grew up in the Portland area and moved to Seattle post college.  After living in a few neighborhoods, my family and I settled in the Haller Lake neighborhood of North Seattle.

8. What are your passions or hobbies outside of real estate?

I am passionate about community and social outreach.  I’m an active volunteer at my children’s elementary school, Girl Scouts, our school parish and surrounding community.  I especially enjoy my weekly volunteer work with Senior Services of King County.

9. What are your favorite things to do in Seattle?

So many choices!  If I had to pick, riding my bike along the Burke Gilman Trail and family boat rides on Lake Union.

10. Why should someone choose you as their real estate broker?

I am honest, approachable and passionate about real estate.  With my background and professional contacts, I am able to offer my clients a seamless, full service experience.
