Pointe3 Agent Spotlight: Ben Young

Ben Young started with Pointe3 Real Estate in Summer of 2015. He is a full time licensed professional realtor, who specializes in leasing and real estate sales. He attended the University of Washington in Tacoma, and graduated in 2013 with a Bachelor’s degree in Urban Studies. Immediately after graduating, Ben began his career as an Associate Broker in the Seattle market. This allowed him to advance in people and sales development. Ben then moved on to become an instrumental member of the Pointe3 team, bringing an abundance of energy, creativity, dedication and consistency to all his work here at Pointe3 Real Estate.

We sat down with Ben to learn more about him for this week’s Pointe3 Agent Spotlight!

 

 

When and why did you get started in real estate?

I have always had an interest in the industry since a young age. During college I realized I wanted to be more proactive in my career choice by running my own business. I purchased my first home in 2012 and fell in-love with the process. After graduation I knew real estate sales was the perfect profession I wanted to master.

Why did you join Pointe3 Real Estate?

I transferred from another firm and wanted to be a part of a team that can support and inspire me at the same time. After joining Pointe3 not only did they meet expectations but there is also a more personal family oriented framework in which makes business transactions more enjoyable.

What neighborhood(s) do you specialize in?

Central and South Seattle.

What is the most challenging/gratifying aspect of being a real estate broker?

This may sound cliché but helping first time homebuyers making the jump from renting to owning. This is challenging because everyone’s situation is usually different and presents unique challenges in order to qualify them. The rewarding part is when they come out on the other side of the transaction with a beautiful home and a fresh start with making memories.

What do you foresee in 2016’s real estate market?

If I were to look into my crystal ball I would see happy clients, increased transactions and multiple offers on every home in the Seattle area… Yikes !

Do you have any advice for someone looking to buy or sell a home in today’s competitive real estate market?

Selling: Focus your home improvement on kitchens and bathrooms with neutral colors throughout the home.
Buyers: Monitor and be self-aware of your credit score and head into your home search with research on what you are looking for.

Where did you grow up and where do you currently reside?

I grew up in Federal Way, Washington and now currently live in Capitol Hill neighborhood in Seattle.

What are your passions or hobbies outside of real estate?

Passions of mine outside real estate are photography, basketball, snowboarding and cycling.

What are your favorite things to do in Seattle?

Exploring new places to eat, attending music events or comedy shows and of-course the occasional happy hour.

Why should someone choose you as their real estate broker?

Personality, motivation and organization. There is a process to selling a home and I pride myself on offering professional servicing with focus on my clients unique needs.
